Quote of the Week: My Favorite Olympic Soundbite

While the last day of swimming at the Water Cube was filled with Phelpsian excitement, my favorite quote from the Beijing Games to date comes from the 41-year old Dara Torres. For those of you who don't know, Torres swam more than half a second faster in Beijing than she had in her last Olympics which occurred over eight years ago.

Not that I have anything but admiration for Phelps -- the 23 year old superstar -- and it would certainly be easy to post something he said for this week's quote, but these words from the mouth of an amazing athlete who has competed in 5 Olympics (nearly more years than Phelps has been alive) are incredibly inspiring.

Torres, who has a 2-year old, was asked in an interview, what she would tell her daughter about these Olympics given that her daughter is too young to remember these Games. Here's what she said:

You don't have to put an age limit on your dreams.
--Dara Torres

That ought to get you going this week! Make it a great one!
